Was the formulationAnd flavor recently changed?

Tbutler

I have been feeding the adult instinctive for many years for my two cats but they absolutely refused the most recent can from a new 18 package box. I noticed the smell was slightly different when I opened the can and cats will not touch it!

My cats have been using this product for years and they love it but the last two boxes I have bought are rejected by one cat. Has this recipe recently been changed? Because honestly, it does smell a little different than it used to.

My cat won't eat it.

This may be perfectly healthy food and much loved by other cats, but our 1 year old Maine Coon won't eat it. She does love the Adult instinctive thin slices in gravy though so I'll be giving that one a thumbs up.

Inconsistent, no quality control

AKlec

The wet food is very inconsistent. The last case we got was completely watery compared to the previous one we got and it gave our cats horrible diarrhea! The same thing also happened to my parents with their Royal Canin dog food. Clearly there is a huge problem with quality control and they don't have anyone checking the food. We are switching to another brand.

I would like to know if any of the Royal Canid products contain Ash?

  1. The ingredient list is on the container box and sorry but I just recycled that box. Since my cat loves the stuff, I have not observed any behaviors that would indicate that there is a problem with her chow.

My cat has bladder issues so cant eat dry food. He likes the slices in gravy and has been eat the ultra weight food. Do you have higher calorie food so I don’t need to feed him so many cans per day?

  1. Dear Lmm63. One of my cats refuse dry food. He eat only wet food. Before was Royal Canine Adult Instinctive. But pets needed change food also. So I give him now Royal Canine Digestive Care, which is more delicate. You asking high calories in RC Adults Instinctive. Calories are more equal in the cans, but You should always put Yourself in Your cat position. Means: do You want eat one a day even Your food have little bit more calories? I don't think so. If You don't want give him another sicknes( digestion/stomach issue) please give him wet food ( 1 big can or two small) twice a day. And Your furry baby be happy.

This variety.... Thin Slices in Gravy has been out of stock every place I look. This is the only food my cats love. The WON'T eat the pate version. Is there a problem with production. Has it been discontinued?

  1. I've had the same problem. Our cats usually eat this and the digest-sensitive morsels in gravy. Have you tried that one yet? Our cats like them both, but other ones not as much.

My cat doesn't like beef. What is the protein source in this cat food? I'm not used to that information not being on the front of the can.

  1. I believe the canned food you mention is comprised of mostly chicken.

What is the caloric value of a 3 oz can of Royal Canin Adult Instinctive?

  1. There are 66 calories per can
