Can you please recommend a diet for a cat with Feline pancreatitis, currently feeding Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline Sensitivity Control Wet food. He only eats wet food.
I am trying to help a 13-year-old cat put on weight. He has never liked wet food but I remember helping an older cat with health problems to get some calories by feeding A/D wet food. Sorry I forgot to ask, Regarding kovu having decreased appetite and losing weight, how much should a 1 year old cat eat? He used to eat 5 or more ounces wet food and 1/2 cup dry food a day. With his decreased appetite he eats no Dry food and anywhere from no wet food, to 1 and 1/2 ounces twice a day. The most he’s eaten since he’s been losing weight was yesterday and he ate 2 1/2 ounces wet food twice
My 15 year old cat has stage 2 kidney disease. She shows no changes in her personality or daily habits. She will not eat any of the renal wet prescription diet food that our vet has suggested. What would be the best brand of store shelf wet food for her? I have been reading labels for high protein and moisture, good Omega 3, low phosphorus and alot of brands seem to be about the same. my 8 year old cat does not drink much water. I changed her to wet Pro Plan Urinary food as suggested by the vet. She uses the poop box. But I have noticed her appetite is less and she lays around a lot more. I am worried about diabetes even though she does not have the obvious symptoms. Was treated for urinary tract problem but vet did not test her urine just prescribed antibiotic. Any suggestions?
Hey, My cat is fairly old. I think about 10/11 years old. We've noticed that he is getting thinner and I'm not sure what to do. I mainly notice it near his back legs. We feed him only dry biscuits so I was thinking maybe trying him on some different food cause hes never really liked his food but he's never been this thin. I could just be over reacting but I'm really worried and we're about to go away so I don't think we have time to take him to a vet before we go. Thank you!
