Shyloh has eaten Royal canin for doxies ever since we adopted her at 10 weeks old. She’s a crazy dapple with more energy than the law should allow! Always healthy poops, sleek n shiny coat and sparkly intelligence in her eyes. If I’m late for supper time, she will get into the pantry and drag out her bag of Royal canin as a hint!, i have a yellow lab and a 19 year old cat, all get Royal canin. She knows hers! Excellent product and we are loyal customers! Did I mention the 19 year old cat is the play buddy of my 2 year old Doxie!

My dachshund is 4 yrs old and has eaten nothing but royal canin since she was 8 wks old, we transitioned from puppy to adult. With the exception of her recovery from spaying has never had a lose stool, nor thrown up. She is healthy, active, beautiful smooth glossy coat. Starting over with a baby sister 8 wks and loving her puppy food.

Royal Canin -Teckel’s first ingredient is chicken by product meal. Which Contains viscera, which is literally animal innards. Purina One True Instinct is a much better and healthier product that my dogs love. I combined both foods as I was transitioning from Royal Canin to Purina & my dogs literally spit out the Royal Canin kibble to isolate and eat the Purina instead.

Great Size Kibble For Dachshunds!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The boys were very happy to try a new food. They devoured Royal Canin’s Dachshund mix. I was happy to see a food made for their special needs. Joint health one in particular as they have such short legs. Huey is often sensitive to foods and this is the case today. His legs are swollen and sensitive, we will stop the new food. The other pup is feeling fine and will happily enjoy the rest of the bag. We will introduce any new foods slowly to our boys as should always be done especially with known food sensitivities.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daschund is a picky eater since he was a puppy. It is hard to find a food that he really likes. I'm happy to had the opportunity to try out Royal Canine Daschund food. It provides joint and bone support with calcium and phosphorus to help supportlimbs and a long backbone.muscle tone with precise protein content and L-carnitine. It also reduces stool volume and odor with highly digestible proteins and precise fiber content. I really like giving him a breed-specific diet that is formulated with the specific nutrients to help him thrive. I will buy this food and will recommend it to my doxie parents friends.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a bag of Adult dachshund teckel dog food from Royal Canin and RippleStreet in exchange for my honest review. It came well packed and is in a resealable bag. This dog food is specifically tailored for dachshunds nutrition needs. It claims to support their joints and bones, muscle tones, and stool odor reduction. The kibble shape was developed to match with the small jaw of dachshunds. This is great for dachshund Dogs over 10months old. There is also a feeding instructions at the back of the bag, based on the weight of your dog. Our Bacon Longbottom loves this food. It’s like a treat for him and he’s always excited whenever he hears his food dispenser. He’s now transitioned to Royal Canin and I haven’t noticed any upset stomach issue or any side effects since he had this. My dog’s happy and so we are.

What does "Teckel adult" dog food mean?

This food states that it is for pure dachshunds. My dog is half dachshund and half Pekingese but she still has a long body. Would this be appropriate?

    1. For a mixed breed dog, we recommend a diet based on size, age and activity. The Small Adult would be a good option
