I have one cat who has been diagnosed with renal failure - early stages. She is six year old, and a very small kitty (6 pounds). She is now on Royal Canin Renal Support Dry food, which she seem to like pretty well, but I have two other cats in the house who do not need the food, but they like it also and will not eat their food (Taste of the Wild Dry Food). I have tried a new food and my cat likes it. It is 'tuna in jelly', from Whiskas. One pouch of 85g, he eats almost all of it (leaves a little bit of it uneaten). I have seen on internet that tuna causes yellow fat disease. Can i feed it to him once a day? Also he is an adult cat. My kitten is doing really well & having solid stools (after trying many foods) on Taste of the Wild Canyon River (Trout & Salmon). I have heard that it isn't good for cats to be fed only fish based diets but she is doing really well on it. Do I need to rotate food proteins or is eating a fish based diet long-term not a concern?
