I love this thing. Mine had a tiny hole in it so I had to return it, but other than that my cats love the heck out of this thing. And to all of the people who complained about the pump, you can find them for 8 bucks in the fish section. It is a regular pump for a small goldfish tank..... I would probably research better before saying that there is NO finding a replacement and if it is defective the store takes them back within the 30 to 60 days and if not the maker takes them back within time reason if it is a defect!..... Also, as for the water filling, putting water into the bottom portion of the water feeder as well as the container eliminates the problem of the bottom reservoir taking up half the container. This ALSO helps keep the pump from burning out when it runs out of water and you don't fill it up right away...... It is not made as a convenient item for people, it does not re-water itself, it is suppose to encourage more water drinking and clean water. You still have to take care of the unit and make sure it does not run on empty for too long.
