we have a 20 pound rat terrier mix in excellent health, not overweight. She is 11 yrs old and we were trying to fin d a carrier like a backpack to put her in for our long walks, when she gets tired. There are so many to choose from. I like the ones that we strap on the front of the human, and her legs stick out at the top and bottom just like a real baby. However I am concerned that the position might put too much pressure on her back end. What can you recommend?
Will my ShiChon who is 15 long and 11 high fit in a airline soft sided carrier that is 17x11x11? Will she be comfortable as well? I’ve attached a picture of her in it. She climbed in herself.

I think my almost 5 year old guinea pig sow is experiencing bloat. She has always been overweight, but now she is dragging her back legs behind her when she moves around, and her belly is distended on either side. On-line articles recommend getting her to a vet to get something to help with the bloat/gas, but our local vet does not treat small animals. So my question is, does Petco? Or is there a product at Petco that I can buy for her? I bought her at Petco.

We're considering a dog for adoption; likely basset-beagle mix (foster maybe some terrier). We have three staircases in our 4-floor townhouse. Concerned that stairs would be bad for his back if he shares that problem with Basset hounds. I've moved and to get my cat acclimated I've decided I'm going to crate him while we are working. The crate i have is 42"x28"x30", with a dual level. Will this be enough space for my cat? He is 14y/o, and will be crated for 6-8 hours 5 days a week for a few weeks, until he gets used to the area. Of course he'll be inside the house, and let out in the evenings and sometimes for a bit on lunchtime.
