It's OK for what it is

Brooks Mom

We got this for our 65 lb Husky Pup who likes a challenge. It is OK for her but as an owner it is a LOUD toy for her to get through. Also, it takes a bit for our pup to understand the way it "works" so she chews the pieces off. I feel like she's more frustrated and annoyed than engaged and excited.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I bought this a year ago as addition to her treat ball....it is stationary, not too loud, and good for dogs with physical limitations. She gave up twice, partly because i put her reward treat in it after potty and walks. i left it while i went out for a couple hours, and she figured it out (no distractions). She loves it now. She has not learned to unlock, but she sure can turn it! Sometimes she checks under each one a second time, to ensure she left nothing! I have video but this site only qllows photos

Purple Twister Isn't a Hit

This isn't the best toy I've bought my dog, I like it but the little handles are hard for my dog to figure out and she tried to chew them because she got frustrated, which made it hard to push back in. The Outward Hound Tornado Puzzle is easier and is holding up much better. I chose the Purple Twister because I wanted her to have more of a challenge after she mastered the Tornado Twister, but I'm not sure it was a good choice. My dog is a 60 lb. GSD, so it could be that a smaller dog could use it more easily. If I don't use the handles, she doesn't have a problem, but then it's pretty simple to figure out.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Its kept my puppy busy but she was able to chew off the white tabs on the side very easily. The white tabs also get pushed in easily and there is no leverage for the dog to use its paw to move them which releases the purple sections to find the food. This is why she judt chewed them off.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Great puzzle toy with adjustable difficulty

This is considered a more difficult puzzle bc the slides lock. You can unlock all of them or some of them to adjust the difficulty of the puzzle which is great. I started my dog with all the slides unlocked and she had fun with it, and we are getting her to increase difficulty for her mental stimulation/enrichment. No complaints about this! I just wash the drool off with warm soap and water and we’re good to go!

Does it come with booklet for training?

My dogs enjoy the slide puzzles but solve them very quickly. I'd like to find something that's more of a challenge. If this one locks the treat places, is it even possible for my dogs to ever reach the treat?

    1. My puppy quickly solved the slide puzzle as well. The white parts are locks, so once she mastered the slide, I locked them all. Not sure how or when she will figure out how to pull on the white pieces to unlock them, and then slide to find the treats!

How much kibble fits in each little well? Several pieces, a dozen? How much does the puzzle hold all together? 1/4 cup? 1/3 cup?
