Questions
What is the diameter of the bowl? I need one that will fit in a raised feeder.
- Hi! The absolute diameter from the edge of one "foot"/stabilizer to the opposite one is 8.5". If you were creative and could shave the "feet" off, the diameter would reduce to 8". I'm a vet tech, just curious why you need a raised feeder? Not even sure you can respond, but I'm always curious about things that may help other patients. Hope this info helps, and have a great day!

I feed them in separate bowls on each side of the fireplace. They are grazers eat some leave etc. I put morning portion in their bowl and then later if empty evenings. I’d like to them to eat all their dry food in two meals and finish in a timely manner. How to train them to do this without making them get too skinny? And how many cups should I feed them? I adopted a very overweight dog. I am working on weight management and she has lost some weight but I'm concerned as she gobbles her food down literally in a minute. I just bought the puzzle bowl but she can only reach one morsel at a time using her tongue as she is a big dog. This doesn't seem right either but I don't know. It definitely slowed her eating. Our 7 month Siberian Husky used to eat so fast we fed him in a maze bowl, but over the last week he hasn't been as enthusiastic about this meals (1 cup Blue Wilderness puppy food 3 x a day). He has had soft stools over the last week and and a half & some day it's pudding like. He got a new Benebone - but no other change in diet or treats... He did eat some chicken bones about 3 weeks ago but he didn't seem adversely affected in the days following that incident... Pls advise - thank you

Are there specific purposes for a slow feed bowl other than to slow down a dogs eating? Does it help them digest their food better or help them in any specific way? For example my dog eats rather fast, will a slow feed bowl provide any additional benefits besides just slowing down her eating?
I just got this dog and am a little rusty on dog ownership I've been giving her about 2 cups of dry dog food twice a day. Is that enough or too much? should I just leave out a self-dispensing water container? I don't know if I should regulate her water intake.
