I purchased for a dwarf hamster and she loves it. She managed to get from one end of the house to the other, over tile, rugs, uneven flooring, no problems. It comes in 2 halves that you snap together, easily. The only problem was that the round hatch door was so tight I could barely move it. I put the tiniest dab of vaseline on each of the little 'tabs' and it worked perfectly. Opens easily for me, but not while she is running around. It is small, definitely suitable for a dwarf hammie or a mouse only. I put her in it while I am cleaning her cage. Since she doesn't like to be touched, I just place the open ball in front of her and she jumps in.

Great product, our dwarf hamsters love them. I did have a close call and the cover came off and our cat almost got our hamster. Now we tape them shut every time. Still good though

i bought this a week ago hoping of my dreams coming true aka a free roaming hamster but still in a ball.on the 10th i had my hamster running around the house in the ball.Moments later i went to let my hamster back in his cage and could not open!!! and like no ventilation!! SO i had to ask my Boyfriend to open it but could not open.So i had to cut the ball in half almost killing my self sooo good luck charlie

Wife and I bought this for tonks, our new hamster. Pieces at multiple spots did not line up properly for assembly. We returned it and just set up an aquarium for her instead. There were pieces on top we felt would allow tonks to escape or get injured.

Will these hamster balls be small enough for mice or do you have a ball separately for mice?

Depends on the size of the mouse. If it’s like a rat size okay, dwarf or small no.. hamster balls are also not the best for hamsters or mice because it can hurt their backs
