Hi! I have an 8 month old kitten and ive recently noticed that her breath stinks a bit and I want to take care of her dental health. So I recently tried the greenies treats to help to prevent any possible future plague or tartar build up. I tried to brush her teeth but that failed. Artemis didn't even want to try the chicken flavored toothpaste. Are greenies effective for dental health? what Would you recommend to maintain her dental health? Are water additives effective for dental heath?
What would be the best wet dog food for her weighing 3.3 lbs. 4 years and has Periodontal desease? And can I purchase at Petco or Petsmart? Thank you
Is it necessary to brush my cats' teeth? Or is it enough to give them dry food and Greenies dental treats?
How can I keep my cat's teeth clean without brushing them? He really doesn't like it....
I've been feeding my cats Candidae food, dry hairball control kibble and wet food 2x/day. They like the dry, but LOVE the wet. However t's quite expensive and that brand only carries 3 oz cans of wet food which makes calculating feeding amounts difficult. I want to make sure I'm feeding them the best and most cost efficient way. What would you recommend feeding them, and how, and how much? Do their weights (attached photo) seem healthy?
My cat is 10 years old and appears healthy. Lots of energy and nice cost. He seems to have a problem chewing his Purina Naturals after many years of no problems. He works to break them into smaller pieces Is there a softer dry food? I don't want to go to canned food if possible.
My cat loves hard treats but not her hard food now she only likes wet food, when I took her to the vet and said that she likes hard treats and wet food they said she could have periodontal disease because she doesn't eat her hard food anymore but sheeats hard treats, is her pickiest a disease or just her pickiness
Hello, I would like to ask about dental hygiene in cats. All of my 3 girls have mild gingivitis(pathological causes have been excluded by the doctor),so I try to brush their teeth, since brushing is considered the best solution for their case.I have tried all types of brushes and failed terribly and I just realised that they let me apply the paste and rub their gums with my finger. Is there a point to keep doing this since they accept it or is it useless and I should try again with a brush?
I have discovered some red blood in my cats stool. Stool is on the softer side. She is approx 1 and half years old. Has a history of ear mites. Was last treated for fleas, worms etc on the 26th of April. Eats chicken once a day and Canidae dry food twice a day. Healthy weight and very energetic. Poos 3 times a day.
I have a senior cat who has teeth problems and has been on antibiotics for infection that keeps returning they want to remove the teeth but i cannot afford the bill what can i do
My cat is on urinary tract health cat food. Is it okay to give him regular cat treats? Also, does the food have to come from the vet or is the food from the pet store just as good?
My 8 y/o male cat had his first bout of cystitis a few weeks ago, my vets only solution was to give Rx food (Hills, Royal Canin or ProPlan) these all have fish products in them (even non fish flavors) and my cat is allergic. They have no other suggestions and said he will have another issue if he's not on that food. I've read about Wysong Uretic wet food, Wysong Biotic ph- supplement, Cystease, Tinkle Tonic, etc - would anything else work as an alternative? PLEASE HELP!
