We're pretty sure our male German Shepherd has a hygroma on his left elbow (We have laminate flooring). This site doesn't recommend draining it. We are enroute to purchase a dog bed now.
My 9 year old Newfoundland retriever went to the beach with me yesterday and then when we got back she laid down, and was unable to stand up again. She has done this before after a beach day when it’s cold, usually some pain medicine and a heating pad will get her up again. This time she was down from about 7pm at night, until 10 am the next morning when I had to lift her so she could walk outside to relieve herself. I went to the vet at noon, they ran kidney tests. She can’t get up still

We have a dod from humane society that has severe seperation anxiety. She never leaves my side. Best medication to help her. Does benadryl work? She poops when left alone, she is an adult dog. Cannot crate she had injured herself escaping, ate crate cover. Really need to help her before I have to get rid of her. Its really bad. Thanks Lmp
14.5 yr old lab healthy except for osteoarthritis. had erlychiosis 3X, 2X hospitalized, in 2015. pretty stiff walking,does not do stairs, have to lift her to car. on glucosamine/chroin for 5 years, rimadyl 100mg for 3. big problems laying down, circles several times, sometimes aborts her lay down and walks away, or gets halfway down and falls the rest. laying down harder than getting up. good appetite, bowel and kidneys fine. what to do? change NSAID? add tramadol? what is best supplement?
my 17 yr. old 5 # Pomeranian (neutered male) has to wear a male wrap, due to frequent wetting in the house... but can wriggle out of it...I found the Vet's Best Perfect Fit ...which sounds like it would work well, but I need a liner that is really absorbent to put in it... What would you suggest? (that's affordable)?
Hello, my dog won’t sit/lay down for longer than 2 minutes. Recently was diagnosed with Arthritis (2 months ago) but was told it wasn’t severe enough yet to require surgery/meds. He’s been acting weird the last couple of hours, its Easter Sunday so vets are closed so is there any medicine we can buy at the store to ease his pain so he can sleep until we can see our vet tomorrow. Female pug usually sleeps in orthopedic bed w male, they have always been unseparable and sleep smooshed together in their giant bed but lately she keeps sleeping on floor in hallway on other side of living room. Both have current shots, neither exhibiting obvious signs of distress, nothing abnormal in room or on bed. What's the deal? Does she or he maybe need a vet consult to r/o illness? She does have lump to r front and nodule on R eyelid but asymptomatic for anything until this weird bx
