Helped with poop but gave puppy tear stains

BenjiN

Helped my puppy’s poop to be more solid but he started getting the tear stains after eating this. He’s a white dog with no stains before and I credit that to his food, which I was giving him Honest Kitchen puppy food but his poop was too soft.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Ingredients not in keeping with newer studies.

Surprisingly this high end brand contains ingredients that new studies have shown to be unhealthy for pets such as lentils, and people came. I would avoid this entirely.

Good Food = Happy Puppy!

My puppy loves this food! He devours it so quickly that I've been using a puzzle bowl so he eats slower. I haven't noticed any digestive issues either so it's a thumbs up for me!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Puppy won't eat it or get near the food, and I can't even return it due to covid-19 policies. A waste of money. Very disappointed.

DANGEROUS SERVING SIZE RECOMMENDATIONS

Customer 101

The daily feeding recommendation is FAR less than the number of calories my dog should be intaking. I only noticed day 2 when my dog started eating acorns because she was starving on Candidae's recommended portion size.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Questions

1 - 2 of 2 Questions
Sort by: Newest Answers

Is the feeding direction per serving or per day? Feeding directions on dog food packages for Canidae are not clear and can be confusing. For a 10lb dog, why is it 2/3 cup for the puppy food but only a small 1/3 cup for the adult formula?

  1. Puppies require much more food than adults due to the year they need extra nutrients for growing.

How many calories per cup in this small breed puppy food?

  1. There 525 kcals per cup in the CANIDAE PURE Petite Small Breed Puppy Salmon formula. Please feel free to reach out to us at 800-398-1600 ext 0 or support@canidae.com
