I'm so sorry to hear that, thank you for reaching out to us. You can offer him soft food, canned cat food, boiled chicken, etc, you can try to add warmed broth to make it more aromatic. Beyond that, its hard to advise you without seeing him and having more info. Your vet may accept payments through Care Credit or another 3rd party financing option, generally these give you 6 months of no interest. https://www.carecredit.com/vetmed/ If he starts to seem very lethargic and dumpy, rub some corn syrup or honey on his gums. Please get him in to see your vet as soon as you can. Thank you for asking Boop by Petco.

I agree it is difficult to pinpoint what is the problem with Fera. I wonder if she had any episodes of vomiting or weight loss, or has she been sneezing at all ? Any changes in her appetite ? Has she had any blood tests done ? If you can I would recommend to chose to go for further investigations, as the symptoms are quite vague but at the same time we don’t want Fera to become too poorly ! In order to answer your question, a consultation with one of our exotics vet might be your second option, providing as many details as possible would help formulating a differential list of conditions.

Thank you for using Boop by Petco! Ferrets typically do not enjoy being held, and do enjoy playing with their owners more. If you have only had Eddie for a short while, he may not be very used to you, or people in general. I recommend moving slowly with him, and offering treats when he approaches you. Ferrets tend to "remember" negative experiences, so it is important to be as gentle with him as possible early on. I hope this helps and am happy to answer any other questions you may have about Eddie!

He should be examined by your veterinarian to rule out any medical causes for his weight loss. Submit a stool sample to diagnose intestinal parasites or bacterial overgrowth. Feed a good quality ferret diet (not cat food, dog food, etc). Feed him frequently until he is at an appropriate weight, then cut back if necessary.

I found three vets less than 1/2 hour from the zip code you provided that see exotic pets. ( https://mlahvet.com/avian-exotic-fish-medicine/ ) ( https://www.veterinarianssouthjersey.com/ ) ( http://www.animalandbirdvet.com/ ) You need to get Jezebel to a vet. You cannot let her just waste away at home. She sounds very sick and is suffering. Not everything can be fixed at home. She is not young so there are many things that could be wrong with her. You need to get a diagnosis so you can know how best to treat her. Please get her to a vet. I know you are worried about her and don't want her to suffer. Best wishes.
