Hello. As long as you feed Hadli the best quality food you can, keep her up to date on her vaccinations, keep her on heartworm preventative there is not much else for you to do but supply plenty of love. Where people get into trouble is when they try to over-supplement a pet & thus introduce imbalances. Do not let your pet become obese, give her plenty of exercise, & follow your veterinarians recommendations for any testing that might be appropriate as she ages. Just like they recommend for you & me, eating a healthy balanced diet is far more important than any supplements you can buy. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

Jack is PRECIOUS!! Choosing a reputable, quality food is a great step. They will have all the vitamins and minerals he needs. But in both people and dogs, one of the biggest factors in longevity is keeping a slim body condition. Keeping Jack slim and fit throughout his life will improve the quality and quantity of life. Routine dental care. Whether you brush several times weekly or have a dental cleaning with your vet every 6-12 months, dental disease is associated with other diseases and shorter life in both people and animals. Routine veterinary care. We don’t just recommend vaccines and senior bloodowork to empty your pocket. An ounce of prevention and early detection of organ dysfunction and other diseases can extend quality and quantity of life significantly. For example, if a senior blood screen shows mild liver or kidney elevations, I can often keep things at that stage with diet changes and supplements. If we wait till the Pet is sick, prognosis is not as good and treatment

A good quality essential fatty acid supplement, such as DermCaps or EicosaCaps, will promote healthy skin and coat. A quality multi-vitamin such as Pet Tabs, VetriScience tabs or NuPro can be added to a quality diet. Recommended joint supplements include Welactin, Dasuquin or Cosequin. The most important factor is to keep Mila lean and active. Obesity and inactivity will negatively impact her life and may shorten it. Regular veterinary care, especially echocardiograms when she is older, may identify any conditions early.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! I think that it would be actually better to add omega fatty acids supplements made for dogs to her current food and to keep her on the same diet. These diets are ok though it is not necessary to switch her. Best of luck!

Hello and thanks for using Boop by Petco! Pearl looks like she is very sweet! One of the things you may be able to do to help Pearl lose weight is to home cook for her. There is a website called balanceit.com that can help ensure the home cooked diet you are feeding is appropriate for weight loss and well balanced. From a holistic standpoint improving nutrition and having Pearl lose weight can help her overall well being. If she is on temaril P I assume this is for coughing related to reduce airway inflammation or tracheal inflammation. If she is coughing related to heart disease other medications may be useful so it may be a good idea to schedule a follow up with your veterinarian or even a veterinary cardiologist. There are other supplements and herbal medicine that can be helpful when heart disease is present but they vary from case to case. If You are interested in treating using these therapies I suggest looking into an integrative veterinarian near you. Or I would be happy to
