Kaido is on Prednisone for Addison's Disease. He is also on Thyro tabs 0.8mg and just recently had a T4 done and his values are still very vey low after being on them for a year. Is it the Addisons or Pred counteracting the thyro tabs? And should I continue on with the Thyro tabs if it's not doing anything? Plus my vet told me to hold off on the Thyro tabs for another week but reconsider after. But if the Thyro tabs aren't working, what alternative does he have medication wise?
MCV(62fL) and MCH(21pg) values lower than normal. The SGOT level is higher (54 IU/L). ALP is 350 IU/L. Are the numbers concerning?

Hi, We just did the Petnostics test for our dog Stella and below you will find the results. My concern is sometimes the amount of water she consumes. She can easily drink entire bowl quick. Stella - 07/28/2018 Bilirubin - Large (+++) Blood - Negative (0 ca cells/µL) Glucose - Trace (5 mmol/L) Ketone - Small (+) (1.5 mmol/L) Leukocytes - Trace (15 ca cells/µL) Nitrite - Positive (+) pH - 6.0 Protein - Small (+) (0.3 g/L) Specific Gravity - 1.05 Urobilinogen - 0.2 (3.2 µmol/L)
My dog's Urea is at 60.2mmol/l and Creatinine 855 umol/l. He is in a drip at the moment at the vet. Any suggestions on how to improve his kidney function?

My dog takes thyro tabs canine 0.2 mg once a day in the morning. I inadvertently gave him an extra dose in the evening. Should I be worried about overdose?
13 yr old boxer. Weight loss. Extreme thirst and recent incontinence, 3 days. Amylase 3088 U/L, lipase 8027 U/L, alp 1130 U/L, BUN 31 mg/dL, ALT 483, AST 303, ALB 1.1 g/dL. Urinalysis ok. CBC shows banded neutrophils. WBC 16.58, rbc 4.59, hgb 11, hct 32. Does clinical picture look treatable, or palliative? without doing more X-rays or scans or invasive procedures.

Cairo was diagnosed with diabetes 2 weeks ago. Her glucose level was 28mmol/l when I took her to my vet. I’ve been stabalizing her between 10 -15mmol/l with insulin and diabetic diet as suggested by my very capable vet. My question is that she looks at her best when her levels are between 14-18mmol/l. She has a lot more energy and acts like her old self. When she goes below 14mmol/ she’s a lot more lethargic. I want to know why and if it’s safe to keep her levels a bit higher than it should be?
Is L-Lysine a good supplement for cats or is it just an unnecessary and useless supplement?
Hello. Ten year old Keeshond presenting with recurring bacterial infections with hyperpigmentation around the groin and chest areas. Also has occasional seizures, four in the last year lasting less than 5 minutes. Bloodwork flagged T4 low normal at 17 mmo/l. Full panel confirmed and also flagged T3 low at 0.75 mmo/l. Report found low T3 of "questionable significance". Before allergy testing would you try bringing thyroid levels into normal range? Have read symptoms can = hypothyroidism. Thanks.
