Hi and thank you for using Boop by Petco! You can always try the ThunderShirt which can be purchased at your local Pet Supplies Store or Amazon. It has mixed reviews, but may be worth a try! Calming chewables with L-Theanine in them can help as well. Hello, Thunderstorm and noise phobias can be really frustrating in pets. Many animals benefit from anti-anxiety medications to help them cope through stormy nights. This would be something you would need to talk to your veterinarian about. A calming canine pheromone product called Adaptil may also be helpful. During the storm itself, you can try to drown out the noise of the storm with white noise or calming classical music, keep him away from any of the windows where he can see the lightning flashes, and- to an extent- let him do what he wants to cope through the storm. Some dogs like to go into a small room, like a closet or bathroom, or their kennel during storms. There is nothing wrong with them picking a comfortable spot and bringing them their favorite bedding or toys to the area may be helpful as well. If Choco wants to cuddle and stay with you the whole time, that is also fine. Remember to stay calm yourself, as Choco will feed off of your energy as well. For a long term

The experts here on the forum at Boop by Petco do not work at Petco stores and I don't think anyone would have knowledge of inventory at local stores. I cannot find this particular product on the Petco website. It's possible that it's available at your local store and you could try giving them a call. My dog has been having rspca fleaway fleatreatment but It doesn’t work,do you recommend a flea treatment(I’ve heard advantage or frontline plus are good but are they)I would have advocate but it’s so expensive at the vets. Thankyou
Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Fleas are super smart and have developed resistance to a lot of products. In the US we see fleas that are resistant to Frontline. Maybe a little less to Advantix/Advantage. Personally I think the new oral flea and tick preventions are the best: Nexgard and Simparica are monthly and Bravecto is one pill every 3 months. Also the Seresto collar is great and good value for the money, the collar lasts 8 months. These products are not cheap, they cost about $16/dose. But they are prescription from a Vet only. The price is worth the efficacy and it will save you in the long run from trying multiple products, bombing your house, etc plus it will help your dog quicker. I hope this helps and have a great day!
