Hopefully it is the same medication, although there have been lawsuits about mislabeled and counterfeit medications with online pharmacies. Also, you do need a prescription from your veterinarian in order to purchase these products. I would recommend visiting with your veterinarian, as there is a possibility they may price match for you. Best of luck and thank you for using Pet Coach.

Hello. When an infection or lesion has been treated for a time & it has not totally cleared up, it is always a good idea to switch to another medication. Vetropolycin is a triple antibiotic containing Bacitracin, Polymyxin & Neomycin & is generally prescribed for conjunctivitis. Terramycin contains oxytetracycline which is a bit more broad spectrum & is indicated in treating not only conjunctivitis, but other ocular conditions including corneal ulcers. Some ulcers do indeed heal very quickly, but sometimes we do run into a stubborn one. As long as the ulcer seems to be resolving, continue the medication & do make sure you have your veterinarian recheck the eye in about a week. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

Ideally, he should be physically examined by your veterinarian before any treatment is administered. He may need systemic antibiotics in addition to topical treatment. Pain medication may also be indicated. Legally, we are prohibited from telling you to medicate your pet in the absence of a physical exam and a VPCR (veterinarian-patient-client relationship).

Hello and thank you for contacting Boop by Petco. You need to monitor your Tinker Bell over the next 24-48hrs. Do not give her any laxative and do not change her diet. The symptoms of gastrointestinal foreign body include vomiting, lack of appetite, abdominal pain, lack of stools. If you see any of these symptoms in the next 48hrs, please take Tinker Bell to your vets as an emergency. If after 48hrs she is well and will have not developed any of these symptoms, it will mean that she is out of danger.

So Terramycin is also called Oxytetracycline, and has been indicated for the treatment of Anaplasmosis, but it is just not used regularly here in the U.S. It is not a drug that is toxic to pets, so no it is not going to be fatal. Pets can have reactions to just about any medication however, so please do monitor Ghontu and report any adverse reactions that can occurs (excessive vomiting, lethargy, etc). Dextrose normal saline is a fluid that has more sugar in it for pets that are not eating well. It can be used safely in your pet and should really be used under the guidance and monitoring of your veterinarian to ensure no complications there. I do hope that this answers your questions and also hope that Ghontu feels better soon! Take care.
