Hi, thank you for your post. It's great that you are attempting to find the owner and good that there is some identification. Tattoo's are usually given to feral cats when they are trapped, neutered/spayed and released. It's best to call your local municipal animal shelter and enquire about this. Sorry, but there is no way for us to find an owner. Good luck and hope you get it sorted soon.

Hello, This green ink looks like the kind often used in a tattoo. Tattoos are commonly given to pets when they are spayed or neutered, so if that no one attempts to re-do the procedure. I hope this helps. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

Sometimes cats get very interested in certain smells/items, much like the would with catnip. It would be best to not let your cat lick or rub up against the sharpie ink as it may contain chemicals that would make Monster ill. Moving him to another well-ventilated room and distracting him with an appropriate toy is best. Ears can get warmer as the weather changes and the blood vessels dilate to help with cooling. If there aren't any other signs of illness or redness/swelling I wouldn't be concerned, but if you do notice any signs of illness, a vet check in person is always best.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! Getting appropriate toys and scratching posts/mats can help tremendously is giving your little guy something GOOD to scratch. You can also use human nail clippers for a kitten this size to help blunt the tips. (Added bonus, he will tolerate it better when its time for the vet to examine his feet or trim his nails!) As he grows, you’ll have to graduate to a veterinary nail clipper. Best wishes to you and Oliver!
