Thanks for using Boop by Petco! Assuming this antibiotic was prescribed based on the culture, then it should be effective. This is a broad spectrum antibiotic which tends to work well for a lot of infections. Good luck and have a great day!

Destolit is a medication to try to stimulate movement of bile out of the gall bladder. Synulox is an antibiotic. These can be used if the veterinarian thinks that there may be an infection in the body or sludge in the gall bladder causing Billy's illness. A common side effect of synulox is vomiting. You can try giving it with food to avoid causing nausea. However, the worsening of his previous symptoms may indicate that the medications are not helping and that his disease is progressing. I would recommend that you discuss this with your vet to see if there is another treatment or other diagnostics that can be run to see what else can be done.

No- they are not working against each other and no- the Optimune did not cause it. The Optimmune increases the body's tear production which keeps the clear part of the eye-the cornea- moist. If it gets dry- it suspectible to injuries & gets secondary changes. Glaucoma is caused by increase pressure in the vitreous (the ball part of the eye) which is different than the tears. The tears are external and the vitreous internal. Hope that makes sense. Sounds like you have a great vet who is treating Lanie well! Thanks for reaching out to Boop by Petco .

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! I would agree with your veterinarian. Aspergillosis will usually cause a marked nasal discharge and in most cases also nose bleeds and it does not sound like those are present. Hopefully this resolves and Aster does well which is likely. Good luck and have a good day!

Both are antibiotic ointments, so I would recommend sticking with the Isathal for now and scheduling another appointment if she's not feeling better after 24 hours. You can increase the frequency of the Isathal because extra lubrication can help with comfort. Another thing to ask your veterinarian about it placing a contact on her eye - not all vets have these in their offices, but if they do it can help a lot with comfort. Good luck to you and Jasmine. I hope she's feeling much better soon!
