Can my pug take Apo sulfatrim for eat infection
My 79 pound 11 year old lab was prescribed Sulfa/trimethoprim on Friday, 12/4/20, due to his left front leg swelling. 960 mg every 12 hrs. There is no sign of what caused his leg to swell. X-rays showed inflammation around the bone, but other than that, no signs of why. There is no change in the leg today, Sunday. The swelling has not gone to any other part of his body. Would the medication need more time to work? The swelling on his entire leg began overnight 12/3.
My vet says my rabbit has snuffles and currently being treated with sulfatrim for the last 5 weeks . His watery eye has cleared up but his nose is really snotty , some days more than other s . Is there anything else I can try ? And what else can I do to help him ? The vet gave me baytril today is that ok to use with sulfatrim or separate ? So I need to keep him warm ? As he outside I his hutch with heat pads and I cover him over at night . I’m not ready to give up on him .

My dog is on Famotidine, Sucralfate and Metronidazole to help treat bloody poop he had from Rimadyl. He developed diarrhea this morning after being on the new set of medicine for 36 hours. Samson is a 5 year old domestic tabby with IBD since kittenhood. I have been to specialists (internists) but the only thing that works for him is prednisolone which I administer twice daily. He also has degenerative retinal disease which has left him blind. Do you know of any experimental drugs or places where I can try something besides the pred which I believe is leading to pre-diabetic condition, and maybe full-blown diabetes. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Samson is a wonderful cat.
