How long can a dog take sulfamethoxazole

My dog was having diarrhoea ( not watery but semisolid pooh ) for 2 weeks on and off . He eats well and active. I was concerned about the frequency of pooh , sometimes 10 times / day than consistency . Vet said it may be colitis and started on sulfazalazine . He is on that for 2 days , but since started that he is worse & having watery diarrhoea about 10 times / day I'm not happy with that treatment. He is active and happy and eating well . Should I give him Loperamide or Flagyl plz

What medicines to take for uveodermatologic syndrome in dogs ?

My Great Dane has been prescribed SMZ TMP for 3 weeks. However, for the last 2 days she has been lethargic. She has not had diarrhea or vomiting. She is being treated for large pimple like lesions around her muzzle.

My vet says my rabbit has snuffles and currently being treated with sulfatrim for the last 5 weeks . His watery eye has cleared up but his nose is really snotty , some days more than other s . Is there anything else I can try ? And what else can I do to help him ? The vet gave me baytril today is that ok to use with sulfatrim or separate ? So I need to keep him warm ? As he outside I his hutch with heat pads and I cover him over at night . I’m not ready to give up on him .

My dog has water brown diarrhea with some blood in it , when he goes it is not uncontrolled diarrhea..vet gave sulfa antibiotics no lab work back yet ...can I give him ammonium...and appetite is jorrible..

I have sucralfate on hand, have an 89# German Shepherd W/ UTI being tx with Amoxi-Clav 875/175 & Proin (50 mg) both 1 tab bid. She is vomiting undigested food due to meds. May I give her sucralfate slurry bid 30 min ā meals?

My dog is on Famotidine, Sucralfate and Metronidazole to help treat bloody poop he had from Rimadyl. He developed diarrhea this morning after being on the new set of medicine for 36 hours. Is this a side effect of the new medicine and is there anything that can be done to help? He is eating the chicken and rice meals just fine and drinking water normally.

My 4 y/o pitbull began with what looked like a rash which has now developed into huge pus and blood-secreting abscesses. We have taken him to the vet but it only seems to get worse. First, he was given an injection and started on antibiotics. That didn't work. He is curently is on his third try with antibiotics: three pills Sulfamethoxazole every 12 hours for 14 days. He is depressed and only getting worse, I appreciate any help which can be given. Thanks.
