In order to feworm him and also hit tape worm you will need a wormer for cats with the ingredient of "Praziquantel". Tape worm are transmitted by fleas, so you will also need to do flea control. Unfortunately fleas only hop on the body of your pet when they want to feed, then they hop off again and stay in your pet's environment. So you need to treat all pets in the household as well as the environment (which contains the fleas, their eggs and larvae). Flea treatment: 1) Get some flea medication such as a Flea spray or a spot on from a pet shop or your veterinarian and apply monthly 2) get flea powder, put some in your vacuum cleaner bag and vacuum your house and furniture and also non-carpeted areas frequently to remove flea larvae and eggs which live off house dust., Dispose of the bag in the trash outside. Thank you for using Boop by Petco! I'm sorry that Jolly is not feeling well. There is no difference in the active ingredient, an antibiotic, between Velosef syrup vs capsules/tablets. Slight differences in the way the compound is dissolved may be present, but the activity is the same. Most veterinarians prescribe medications based on the animal's weight, so the total dose (total milligrams) needs to be the same no matter the form of the medication. I recommend asking your vet what the total amount of medication is per dose, and ensuring that the same amount is present in either the capsules, tablets, or syrup. Thank you for using Boop by Petco. Zentel is listed as a human albendazole product. If this is the medication that you gave your cat, I recommend a visit to the vet asap as cats can be very sensitive to albendazole, it is not a medication typically used in cats.

Hello, and thanks for your question on Boop by Petco. For now, I wouldn't stress about knowing exactly which medication has helped Kiki - in truth, it's probably been a combination of all the different interventions. Cats who are prone to constipation often need constant adjustments in their management, so for now, if she's doing well, continue the miralax as your vet advised and touch base with them if her stools become hard or less frequent again. Sometimes cats may need to be on both meds for a time, or even switch foods entirely to a diet formulated for cats with constipation issues. So, there's probably not one "right" medication for her, and a therapy that worked this time might still need to be adjusted in the future. I have found the Royal Canin GI Fiber Response food to help immensely - you could ask your vet if that's an appropriate option if Kiki continues having bouts of constipation. Hope this helps!
