I feel like Wellness fits all of those categories pretty well. I guess affordable is a very relative term, but if you are only feeding one cat, one of the large cans should last you a bit. This is what I feed to my three adult cats and they all love it. You will definitely need to go to a pet food store, tractor supply, or an online supplier to obtain this food rather than a supermarket usually. Hill's also makes pretty good quality (has a grain free line) food, but I don't think their wet food is smooth like you requested. Anyway, hope this helps!

Wellness, Weruva and Royal Canin are all good choices. When it comes to a canned food, look for one with a named protein source of animal (not plant) origin. Choose a food that comes from the can looking like a hockey puck. Avoid foods with gravies or sauces. These are typically higher in carbs which can predispose a cat to obesity. Avoid meat meals, by-products as well as store or discount brands. These latter two contain low quality ingredients and more fillers.
I really like Hill's Science Diet, Iams (very inexpensive), or Purina for better options that are much better than Fancy Feast. It is good that you want to go with a wet food, since cats are not big water drinkers. This will help promote good kidney and urinary bladder health. You can also mix in the wet food with dry to help stretch out the wet food and make it even more affordable! IF you are going to transition her to the new food, please make sure to do this over the course of a week to help avoid an upset stomach. Here is a website link on how to do this successfully! https://www.hillspet.com/cat-care/nutrition-feeding/switching-cat-food Best wishes with your furry friend Luna and thanks for visiting Boop by Petco! Take care
Hi and thanks for posting. A brand that comes to mind that may be what you are looking for is Sojos which is freeze dried food. You add a small amount of water to it and the food pieces are on the softer side but not mushy. I hope this helps!
Try giving her another brand of wet food, such as Fancy Feast, or warm up her regular wet food. Freeze Dried is not wet food and I would be concerned about bacterial contamination. You may also want to have her teeth and mouth checked by your veterinarian.
