It sounds like he has found a fun game to play with you and that is his new favorite playtime activity! While this may be frustrating for you, its possible he may just really like that particular play behavior. You could try some fixed hanging toys, such as this: https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/cat/cat-toys/cat-teasers-and-wands/petpals-group-zippy-m-grey-springy-teasing-balls-toy https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/cat/cat-toys/cat-teasers-and-wands/petpals-group-vortex-m-grey-ring-teasing-balls-toy https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/cat/cat-toys/cat-scratcher-toys/you-and-me-sisal-cat-scratch-post As for why he is acting that way and not letting go, I suspect it is truly just that he thinks its a very stimulating, fun thing to do. Hello and welcome to Boop by Petco. Although animals do like company, they also can be very happy as single pets. If Scout seems happy, don't feel pressured to get a second cat. Scout should go to a vet as soon as you can make an appointment as he is likely behind on vaccines/worming if he hasn't had any since you got him. Neuter is recommended at 6 months of age. Otherwise just make sure you have scratching posts, litter tray, food and water. Best of luck with Scout!

Some cats are happy with companionship and aren't interested in play. I’ve had luck with using a laser pointer to see if he’ll chase it. You can also try putting treats on a cat tree to get him to climb up and be active. You can also train cats to come when called, beg, sit, shake etc just like a dog. This is done with treats and praise as rewards and takes lots of time. The training should be fun for you both and is good bonding and quality time together. Thanks for using Boop by Petco to help you care for your cat.

It might be best to shift her attention to a larger stuffed toy. You can play with her in a similar fashion, but your hand won't be directly in her grasp. The toy can be a little smaller or the same size as her, and can be a newer toy or a gently used one from a thrift store. Hold the toy by the back and wiggle it at her in a similar way as you likely do when playing with your hand and the blanket. She may respond by flopping on her side or back, you can then push it to her belly or paws and let her grab ob and kick or bite to her heart's content. This serves to give you just a little distance between your hand and her claws. It's best to not use your hands to play fight with her, just in case she gets too involved and hurts you accidentally.

If Mojo has sensitive skin, then I would consider an oral flea preventative instead of a topical one. This handout has a link to all flea control products for cats. https://veterinarypartner.vin.com/default.aspx?pid=19239&id=4952808 I would recommend trying Comfortis ( https://www.comfortis.com/ ). It is a chewable tablet that only needs to be given once a month. Another option may be the Seresto collar ( https://www.petbasics.com/products/seresto/?WHGRedir=1 ) since that does not seem to be as irritating to cats with sensitive skin as the spot on treatments are. Good luck! I hope that was helpful. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.
