For days where it is very hot, you do want to avoid taking your dog for a walk at the hottest parts of the day (mid-day) especially on paved areas as your dog's feet can get burned. They do sell dog booties that you can put on your dog's feet to help protect them. If she has no skin/coat issues, just a gentle oatmeal shampoo is fine for bathing when needed. Most dogs do not need frequent bathing unless they are getting very dirty and bathing too often can dry their skin out. I wouldn't bathe more than every other week unless needed. Ruffwear is generally considered one of the best apparel companies for pets. Otherwise it is all highly variable. I recommend to look at product recommendations online. Any boot is liable to cause annoyance to a pet since they are not use to wearing them. Petsmart and Petco both tend to carry products that work well and are durable. Hi and thanks for using Boop by Petco! Good to hear you and Ziggy are out walking despite the rain. You certainly can give him a bath if you want to. Routine bathing is best done with an Oatmeal Dog shampoo and I like to advise an Oatmeal Shampoo that doesn't have soap or detergent in it. This way your flea and tick products that you use won't be stripped away and will actually last as long as they say. You can also use an oatmeal based coat conditioner to condition the skin and hair coat. Good luck with Ziggy. If you don't want to mess with bathing, you could always spray a nice dog cologne or pet odor spray on him and then towel dry him off. Have fun and keep walkiing.
