A pheromone collar, such as the Adaptil collar, may help decrease anxiety. Gradual desensitization is also strongly recommended. Calming chews, such as Composure chews (by VetriScience) may help but they are not "magic pills". You will need to modify her behavior. This may require the assistance of a certified trainer.

Hi there. You could try a daily natural calming supplement such as Zylkene or Composure, if you want to. An Adaptil pheromone collar can also be helpful for mild anxiety issues. If these things don't help, you may want to consider seeing a veterinary behaviorist to discuss a more comprehensive treatment plan for her anxiety issues, which may include prescription medication if needed. Dogs on high-quality commercial diets do not need vitamins. Dogs on homecooked diets definitely need to take a vitamin. For the supplements, I'm not familiar with Pet Natural Vermont Calm specifically but the ingredients look ok. It's true that they are not regulated, so we have to go on company reputation. The ones I know and recommend are Zylkene (different supplement) and Composure (same supplement as the Vermont ones). I like and trust the company that makes Thunderspray, so if it's helping then stick with it. The pheromone product that I'm most familiar with and feel does help is called Adaptil. I hope that all helps!

She is adorable! If she is stressed from the renovations then I would recommend trying an Adaptil collar/diffuser and Solliquin chews. Both are products specifically made for dogs that help with stress and anxiety instead of using CBO. https://www.adaptil.com/us#redirected http://www.solliquin.com/

You can try HomeoPet for anxiety. They sell it at PetCo. For my terrified puppy mill dog I used the supplement Solliquin. Another product people recommend is rescue remedy. A pheromone diffuser can help as well. My dog took several years to relax in our home. I recommend having places for Brandy to hide and get away when she wants. Letting her come to you and not forcing the situation is best. Have treats and toys available to get her interested in being with you. My boy was much worse when picked up or restrained. He does better when he can get on the couch and sit with me as long as I don’t physically hold him or pick him up. The best thing for him was taking him to obedience class. He loved being with other dogs and learned quickly. He became more confident and relaxed from the classes. Be patient, neglect at a young age can be difficult to overcome, it will take time and lots of love. I’m so glad you’re taking care of Brandy. Thanks for using Boop by Petco to help y
