Hi, I have a great Pyrenees's/Anatolian shepherd. She's almost 6yrs old, 105 lbs She has arthritis in her hind legs and back. Her vet has her on osteo biflex and prevocox 227 mg daily. She's active. But getting up and moving around for the first coup

Medically, in addition to an anti-Inflammatory like previcox there are additional pain medications she could be started on. Adjunctively to medications, laser treatments, hydrotherapy (underwater treadmill), and acupuncture are all options you could look into to help her as well. Good luck!

There's panosteitis and theres hip/elbow dysphasia. NSAIDs given for pain management, may destroy their livers. Supplements may do wonders, but may also have no effect. What are some home remedies, or supplements that will possibly work for both? In
Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your concern. Thankfully panosteitis is a self limiting disease and will resolve. The hip / elbow dysplasia can be quite uncomfortable and may need surgical intervention if severe enough by an orthopedic surgeon. NSAIDs are ok to give short term but long term is where you may see liver damage. I always start with a conservative approach for arthritis / joint discomfort. Below are the products I would recommend for Rogue and starting these early may be beneficial in the long run. Some of these products you will only be able to purchase from your vet. Can 1/2 of a previcox 237 mg tablet cause a canine to have to urinate ? My 10 1/2 month old basset had 1 tonight for panostetis He seemed to need to go out but started to Pee a little in the house
That would be an unusual side effect of Previcox, especially if he just had one dose. If that continues then you should call your vet and let him/her know as your vet may want to check a urine sample.
