I feed my cat Hill's Prescription Diet k/d Early Support Chicken Canned Cat Food, and order it from chewy.com, but the are out of stock and vet doesn't carry it. She has only 10 cans left. Is there any other place to get this food quickly?
Thank you for using Boop by Petco. Many veterinarians will carry Hill’s prescription diets. I recommend calling to see who may carry it. As it is a prescription diet they may require a prescription or call from your veterinarian in order to sell the food.

I just read that cats with pancreatitis need low fat foods, how would I go about finding them? (i,e, what should I look for on the labels)? Or does it have to be a prescription diet?
Pancreatitis can be challenging in kitties as it can be more difficult to diagnose then in dogs, be more "quiet" in its presentation, can cause sudden, more severe signs and also chronic, more mild signs, and is often a secondary condition due to another underlying disease process such as gastrointestinal disease. Often prescription diets are better for animals with chronic disease as they have better quality control. And the diet selected is often based on what is thought to be causing the pancreatitis (hypoallergenic vs new protein/carb sources vs low fat, etc.). With kitties it can sometimes take some diet trial to see what the individual cat likes. Some of the pet food companies (science diet for sure) will offer a free trial prescription diet through your veterinarian for a prescription food. Meaning you can get a free bag or free cans to try. Also most of these companies will allow the food to be returned if the cat doesn't like it. So it might be a good idea to check into this

Hill's (Science Diet) makes a prescription urinary s/d diet and a c/d diet. If it is SO, then it must a diet made by Royal Canin. Royal Canin S/O diet is OK to feed to all the cats as is Hill's c/d multicare diet. The s/d diet is probably OK if it is only going to be a short term diet.

I have a cat that is 16 or 17 with urinary issues. For about 3 weeks he’s been on RX Blue Buffalo WU. He didn’t like the canned food of that brand so only on dry. I’m still trying to find a wet food he will actually eat & not just lick the water from
Without a full diagnosis of the actual health conditions it is almost impossible to advise on a suitable diet - kidney failure, urinary stones/crystals, urinary tract inflammation, incontinence and bladder tumours can all cause urinary tract symptoms in older cats and each require slightly different management - I recommend you contact your vet to discuss exactly what types of food are most likely to help Patches. When it comes to kidney and urinary issues however, high quality, specialist prescription diets are preferred as they are tailored to prevent progression and reduce severity of clinical signs and are worth the investment, even if you can only stick with them for 8-12weeks to allow stabilisation

Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your concern. You can try and switch to Royal Canin Urinary SO and see if this helps at all. There is dry and wet of this diet. It is a prescription diet so you will have to get a prescription from your veterinarian. I hope this helps!
