I uaed to give fancy feast to my cat but I heard it's not actually very healthy, so what are som good and not too expensive wet food brands?
I really like Hill's Science Diet, Iams (very inexpensive), or Purina for better options that are much better than Fancy Feast. It is good that you want to go with a wet food, since cats are not big water drinkers. This will help promote good kidney and urinary bladder health. You can also mix in the wet food with dry to help stretch out the wet food and make it even more affordable! IF you are going to transition her to the new food, please make sure to do this over the course of a week to help avoid an upset stomach. Senior cats can certainly be a challenge. You didn't mention if Tony eats canned or dry food. Since you are having to change every few days, I would suspect that it is canned. One thing that will entice my older cat to eat is if a grind up dry food and sprinkle it over the canned food. Dry foods have a number of flavor additives in them and grinding them up (in a coffee grinder) seems to make them smell better to an older cat. (You can also do this if Tony has a favorite dry treat.) Adding small amounts of the water that canned tuna, salmon or chicken are packed in can also be a good way to get them to eat if he likes those flavors. There are a number of companies that make food "toppers" that are ment to be extra flavorful. Some cats really love liver, so dehydrated liver treats or toppers are a great idea for senior cats. Finally, sometimes we rotate foods on a regular basis instead of just feeding him a food for as long as he will eat it. Good luck! I hope that was helpfu

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! It seems like you are doing a great job with his feeding so I would not change the amount at all and he does not need to eat all day. Having the amounts separated like now is a good idea. Just make sure to go by the feeding guidelines on the back of the food bag or can. How should I set eating time table for my cat and dog at the same time, as cats don't listen much. Sometimes they fight over exchanging their food.
I would recommend feeding your cat up high and in a different room then your dog. That way your dog cannot get Tiger's food and Tiger is in a completely different room then your dog. I would also recommend shutting the door of whatever room you feed Tiger in. You can also crate your dog during feeding times. That way he just gets his food. Thank you for using Boop by Petco.

My cat has been spilling and turning and kicking her water bowl for a few days now, mind you, the water is fresh, the bowl clean and the one she had since she arrived in our family. What can I do to stop it?
Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Bad Missy! Some kittens love to play with water! I would put the bowl in something to prevent it from tipping over. You can get adhesive to hold the bowel down as well. They do make non-spill bowls. None of this will stop her from dipping her paws in to it, so you a large water proof mat for your floor. She will grow out of this. I would add some interactive toys and get a laser pointer to play with her. Sometimes boredom comes in to play with these kind of behaviors. Good luck!
