Hello. I do not know what might be available in Canada, but I highly recommend looking at this website for the Veterinary Oral Health Council. Click on the Accepted Products link at the top, then on accepted products for cats. It will list everything that is truly tested to provide results. Like anything some toys from China are absoloutely fine whilst others can be dangerous. The issue being regulations ate limited. If you are worried I would be safe and buy toys made in the US which will be better regulated.

I usually recommend getting toys a cat likes to play with, and that depends on the individual cat. Some cats like to chase balls, others like toys with catnip in it, and some love feathers attached to strings. I personally really like the Catit brand of toys, they have this Senses Play Circuit with a ball in it, and it encourages a cat to play but they can do it on their own. I would go to a pet store and get a variety of five toys to see what Keke may like best. Moving into a new home is stressful for a cat, and it will take time for her adjust. Be patient. Offer her treats and praise when she comes out of hiding to see you. That will encourage her to come out more. I hope this helps!

Yes, most pet stores have a small animal section with a variety of toys. Look for chew toys with safe woods such as willow, apple, birch, spruce and aspen. Soft toys and exercise wheels are also good options.

Jasper sounds like quite a character! I do recommend obviously to be VERY careful regarding chewing electrical cords. Many pets lose their lives each year due to chewing cords that are plugged in! Make sure to always replace tubes/keep them covered/keep them in areas that Jasper cannot access. You may even have a Jasper-proof room where he gets shut in any time you are not home to watch him. This is certainly a good safety measure. There are many toys options out there and I think KONG has a few that are aimed at cats who like to chew. Some even have tasty little treats that you can put in them, some have cat nip in them and I think he would have a lot of fun. It is important for you to remove any strings or movable pieces off the toys before you give it to him so that he doesn't swallow them. Also check the toys regularly for any pieces breaking off that he could swallow as this is a risk for intestinal blockage. I hope this is helpful and please feel free to post any additional ques
