Let's start with the topical products which get applied to the skin along the back from the neck to the tail in big dogs like Duke. Frontline Plus, Effitix, Revolution, Advantix, Vectra 3D, etc are all topicals that get applied every 30 days. The oral products include Capstar (24 hour activity only), Comfortis and Nexgard (every 30 days), and Bravecto (every 90 days). There is one good collar on the market called Seresto which Bayer makes. It lasts 8 months. All of these products are good options but you need to use something specific for your geographical location since not all of these products are effective against fleas and ticks.
