Most of these supplements change the pH of the urine, which might not be ideal for some dogs who could be predisposed to bladder stones or urinary tract infections. I'd recommend talking to your vet about whether or not they think it would be safe for your dog in particular.

I have had clients use NaturVet GrassSaver for years and never seen elevated kidneys values associated with it. I just reviewed the ingredients and don't have any concern about them, so I doubt that supplement is affecting Toby's kidney values. There are some kidney diseases that we see more commonly in Wheatens, so be sure to follow up with any additional testing that your vet recommends. I hope that was helpful! Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

Typically dogs eat grass because they have an upset stomach. This supplement will not be a benefit for Chloe. It won't do anything for her. I recognize your dog and know from previous questions that you are very diligent pet owner. She will be getting all the nutrients she needs from the diet you give her.

No, these supplements can contain ingredients that are not safe for dogs, and really have no proven efficacy. Urine burns on the law from Rufus's urine could be caused by a poor quality diet. Try feeding him a high quality diet that contains higher quality and more digestible proteins such as Royal Canin, Hill's Science diet, or Purina ProPlan. You can also try to make his urine more dilute by increasing his water intake by feeding him canned food or soaking his dry food with water.

As long as you follow the manufacturers guidelines it is likely fine. However most OTC products are not effective. A better way to prevent lawn spots is the dilute/water the areas your pet urinates on to help with the urine pH effecting the grass.
