Pedigree is pretty much junk food, as long as the label marks the animal the meat or fat comes from it's fine, if it is not specify it is a good reason to be suspicious. here are a few high quality foods: Orijen, Acana, Evolve and Taste of the wild.

Hello there. Thank you for using Boop by Petco. Pedigree is not the most premium food but it is not the worst. I have seen many dogs thrive on it. I really don't think you need to add in the other items but as long as she is not overweight I do not see the harm in it since it is only 5% of the meal. You didn't mention if you are giving her the chicken bone - if you are, I don't recommend you do this. Just give the meat only. It sounds like you are doing just fine. Just monitor her weight. Hope this answers your question. Best wishes!

There are worse brands and there are better brands. If your dog does well on it, is healthy and it is easy for you to get then you can continue to feed it. If your budget and shopping options allow, consider a better quality diet.

Boiled skinless chicken breast or cooked eggs could be added as toppers - just be sure that these foods along with other treats make up less than 10% of the total diet so there aren't any nutritional deficiencies.

This product is just a flavor enhancer and is only necessary to help get your dog to eat his normal food. It does have some nutritional properties to it and the ingredients all appear safe and appropriate to use for feeding. Just keep in mind that you are adding calories, so it should be minimally used with his normal food and you may consider cutting back his normal food a little if you are going to regularly add this to it. This product is definitely not intended to replace the food and is not nutritionally balanced like the royal canin food is. I hope that helps and all is well with Joey.
