hello, I just got a kitten she is one month old. I just want to know what to get for her when i go shopping tomorrow to go get stuff from your store.
Congratulations!! I would recommend making sure you get kitten appropriate toys, two litter boxes and kitten food. At 1 month of age I would recommend a wet kitten food. I would also recommend clumping litter for her. You can always get her other fun stuff like a soft bed for her. I would hold off on any treats until she gets used to her new home. I bought a slow feeder from the pet store to slow down my cat's eating but she is barely eating and she will walk away from the dish. I don't know what to do if I go back to feeding her like I was she will gorge on her food and then throw it up. How
It may just take some time for Pumpkin to get used to the feeder. Some cats also don't like having their whiskers touch the sides of the bowl, so getting a larger sized bowl may also help. If she refuses to use it at all, feeding smaller, more frequent meals in a regular bowl can help her get enough to eat without eating too much and vomiting after a meal.

We currently use the powder formulation for dogs and cats but if they have treats for cats this should be absolutely safe to try. Hi Stella! I would be glad to answer your questions :-) Pets can be obese for a couple of reasons. One reason can be free-feeding, but it also be due to a lack of exercise, and feeding your pet lots of human food and treats. It's not recommended to feed your pet human food unless for a specific medical reason (i.e. boiled white meat chicken with no bones for GI upset) because it adds extra calories to their diet which they don't need. Also, many human foods are toxic to dogs and cats. It's not recommended to free fed dogs, they should get two meals a day. As for cats, cats tend to be grazers, some people do leave food out all day for them to eat their leisure. This is fine to do with cats who are a healthy weight, and you can switch to scheduled feeding if they are obese. It is true free feeding can lead to obesity, but you can manage this with cats by not leaving a huge amount of food out all the time. You can measure out their daily amount, and they can eat at their leisure

I feel your pain on this issue! I have a Persian, and he gets terrible tear stains. I use a tear stain remover on my cat, which I get from the pet store. I would get one of those, as they help remove the stains. You can try feeding him from a porcelain or metal bowl. Plastic bowls can crack and retain bacteria, which can cause continued problems with excessive tearing. You can also give him filtered water instead of tap water, as that's reported to help as well.
