You are very welcome. In dogs we don't see this issue so much with water intake. Cats are usually always problematic to get adequate water into their system. Therefore your dog can have either wet or dry based on preference of the pet and yourself. I feel that giving half dry and half wet to cats is certainly better than no wet at all. Plus I can certainly understand that this may be more a cost effective way to care for your pet. If you also implement the placement of water fountains in your home, then this has shown to encourage cats to drink more because it is considered a fresher water source. I honestly have never heard of the special bowls made just for spaniels. That is a great idea and as long as your pets drink from it, then I say mission accomplished! It is, after all, still just a water fountain. I can certainly understand not wanting to continue to use a fountain which gets a daily dip from your pets ears. It's great that you want to be prepared for your new kitten! Aside from the obvious things for the kitten like food and water bowls, I'd recommend a tall scratching post and perch. Two litter boxes in different areas of the house are recommended. Canned kitten food (and canned adult cat food as Myla gets older) is preferred over dry food. Hello, thank you for using Boop by Petco. This is a great question! I did a bit of research and if you are looking for a dish-soap to use to clean your cat's bowls I found this one in Singapore. It is natural and non-toxic. As per the ingredients it would certainly be safe to use. I hope this helps. Best wishes. ( https://greenkulture.sg/products/dishwashingliquid )

It maybe the dog bowl is bigger or the edge of the bowl is different. I’d try a different water bowl for him to find one he likes better. Cats can be fussy but I’m sure he’ll drink out of a different type of bowl. Thanks for using Boop by Petco to help you care for Oliver.

This is one of those things we may never be able to answer. I suggest you just get a different type of bowl and see if he likes that. I would recommend a low, flat, shallow bowl (kind of like a tray). Some cats develop an aversion to their whiskers touching the sides of a deeper "normal" bowl.
