Hello, Jack is currently on Clopidogrel 75mg and takes a quarter of a pill per day. We’ve had a lot of rain lately that’s slowed him down more than usual and I have Onsior 6mg I can give him. I wanted to make sure it was ok to give him the Onsior while on the blood thinner? Thank you!
My cat has been limping for 3 days and this morning at 11:40 AM we took him to the vet and he got an onsior injection. He ate about a half can of wet catfood beforehand, and afterwards he had a little more but walked away before finishing it. He's been more lethargic than usual and is still limping. He vomitted pink liquid that looked like pepto bismol and seemed a bit disoriented at about 12:30 AM, an hour ago. What has happened, what is happening, has the onsior hurt him, and what should we do
My female cat had recently gotten spayed 3 days ago. She’s currently on Onsior pain meds & she hasn’t pooped since before surgery. She’s urinated and has been eating and drinking fine. Should I keep waiting?
My cat was prescribed onsior. I realized that I gave him his medicine this morning with his other 12 hour instead of waiting till tonight. Will he be okay. Do I need to be looking for anything since I have given him the medication 12 hours early
I have an 18 yr old dsh male and he's limping on one of his front paws. He has an appt for monday (4/12) but I wanted to know if I can give him a 6mg dose of onsior for pain. I have one tablet left. If not, can he have bufferin or anything else for pain? thank you
I was told Rocky (a stray I rescued) has obvious back injury etc, but of unknoen origin because his vet did not perform X rays, only sent him home with Onsior. I'm trying to get X rays etc scheduled for him, but in the meantime what can I do to ease his pain and distress? On an unrelated note, he's chughing water and filling to the brim his litter box with stool mounds too...sometimes out of the box.
My cat is on day 8 of Amoxicillin, 100 mg TID, for a UTI diagnosed via home sample brought to vet. He began making normal sized urine balls around day three, but today has made a couple that were slightly smaller than golf balls. He took Onsior for 4 days and has h/o Flutd. Vet wants to see him 2 wks. after finishing Abx. Should I worry about smaller urine balls?
Our feline friend Al has been having a tough time with feline herpes affecting his eye. He’s seen his regular vet and an ophthalmologist. Yesterday his eye got very swollen (can’t open) and purulent, as it always does when this flares up. He’ll be seeing his ophthalmologist this coming week but in the mean time, we have some left over Onsior from his regular vet which was given to treat his eye swelling, several months ago. Would it be ok to give him a dose today?
Is it ok to visit another vet for a 2nd opinion? My Baileys third eyelids have been showing for a little over a week now. Took him to my vet who checked for scratches n took his temp which was a tad over normal. She gave him a convenia shot, gave me some onsior pills and that was it. Been 3 days n no change. Would another vet refuse to look at him if its known he goes somewhere else? Or would my vet patient relationship be tarnished. Dont want to hurt feelings just want to help my cat. Thank u
Jack seems a little more lethargic lately, and while I know he’s bound to be getting slower due to age, how would I know if something was going on? He’s eating and drinking fine, no bathroom issues that I can tell, and he takes half of a 5mg of Methimazole a day for his thyroid. We’ve had a lot of rain lately, and I wondered if that could be aggravating any arthritis he may have? And if so, could I give him a 6mg Onsior?
Greg underwent an intense surgery to repair his rectum and colon that had both prolapsed, and remove a mass that was bulging out of his anus as well. He was doing better - after not eating or drinking - nor using his litter box - for almost three days, he's eating slowly, and urinating and passing small bouts of very loose stool. Last night though, he was crying and whine-meowing ALL night, no matter what I did, until this mid morning. I gave him an Onsior, but what could this be from etc?
My cat was diagnosed with a UTI yesterday afternoon. She was prescribed Clavacillin (62.5 mg) and Onsior (6 mg). About 6.5-7 hours after her medicine she started throwing a foamy, yellow liquid and then all of her dinner. During the night, I woke up twice to her throwing up a foamy liquid with a slight color to it. I know the vet said the Clavacillin could upset her stomach but is this normal? Does she need to be brought to the ER or can she wait until her primary opens in a few hours?
