You can try NaturVet Quiet Moments Calm Chews with Melatonin and see if this works. You can pick this up at your local Petco and give as directed on the container. If this does not work, he may need an anti-anxiety / sedative. Something may also be bothering him as well so it may be worth having a veterinarian examine him so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.

You can use it in a pinch but I would not use it long term as it contains Vitamin A. Vitamin A is fat soluble vitamin and can stay in the body a long time as it's stored in fat. I don't know if it would cause an overdose of Vitamin A long term but I would not risk it. So, yes, use it for now, but as soon as the vet gets stock you should go back to using the Lacri-Lube. You could also use this: ( https://www.amazon.co.uk/Xailin-Night-Lubricating-Eye-Ointment/dp/B01CAQ3UPI/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=EX1H9OBLBXQ&keywords=xailin+night+eye+ointment&qid=1563278368&s=gateway&sprefix=xailin+night%2Caps%2C282&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&smid=A8FWVXVAMXNC9 )

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Poor Jax! This is a serious phobia now if he won't go outside after dark. I highly recommend taking Jax to your Vet for medications. I would recommend starting a long acting anti-anxiety medication like Prozac. You will need to be proactive for fireworks and thunder storms for the future. You should have a short acting sedative to give before fireworks and thunderstorms. During these events he should be in a safe room with the TV AND a radio on. Do not force him outdoors during these times. You need to start desensitizing him towards firework noise now. That means playing a recording on a low volume while feeding him delicious treats and gradually increasing the volume. The goal being that he will associate GOOD things with the firework noise instead of fear. You will need to do something similar to get him back outside at night in combination with drugs. Good luck!

Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your concern. This product is labelled for human use and has no information available for animals that I could find. I would say that most of the ingredients formulated in the phytoplex are safe for use in dogs, however, use with caution as there is no information on its safety in animals. There are safer options out there such as Vetericyn or hydrocortisone spray that I would recommend before using Phytoplex. I hope this helps!

How about trying something like Trazodone instead? Trazodone works to increase Seratonin in the brain, and can cause relaxation and even mild sedation at high doses. I prefer to use this for cases of anxiety. If you choose to persist with Melatonin, I would use a reputable company like Thorne.
