I'm very sorry for your loss. Mineau could absolutely be grieving for your spouse. If possible, try to find one of your husband's old shirts, hats, or something that may have his scent and place this item near his bed. You could also try a calming pheromone collar or diffuser (Feliway is one example). I hope this helps.

My cat keeps bringing in live mice, but instead of killing them she just keeps injuring them, I understand this is a cat's natural instinct to hunt but I am a lover off all living things and can't bear to watch these poor mice suffer she injures them
I can understand how this is upsetting to you! You sound like you have a very kind heart, and I would allow them to pass in your home where they are warm. Using gloves, I would put them in a shoe box that is lined with paper towels to give them a soft and warm place to pass. I hope this helps!

Cats typically rub on things that they are trying to reclaim, especially when they are on inanimate objects. If you go away from the home, with Chandler, and then come back home, he is likely trying to reclaim his possessions in the home. : ) No worries, this is natural for cats to do. Hi, in terms of cat furniture don’t worry cats don’t need anything particularly fancy. They enjoy sitting on a shelf as in the picture and look outside the window. You would add some cardboard boxes that can also work as cratching posts and a couple of pillow on the bookshelf. I think the feeding area would better be moved, because being right in front of the windows is exposed, they can see/be seen and could spot something that might upset them. It is also advisable to keep feeding areas away from their litter tray and perhaps moving it would help increasing this distance. Are there only two cats in the room ? If so also consider the number of litter trays. I mo not sure how many you have at present, and if things work out well I probably would suggest not to change them. You can find lots of ideas in building/creating cat furniture from ikea furniture if you fancy a change in the future. Also cats will need to be active and interact with you so make sure you consider this in your rou
