Hello. This is literally an age old question & basically it all goes back to this: no one knows what goes on in a cats head. I am not just being facetious, but even my cats drive me crazy sometimes. Food, toys, beds, cat condos all go through love/hate phases all the time. I think it is so wonderful that you adopted him, & as long as he loves being with you, the warming bed may just be too foreign to him. There may also be a very low quality hum or vibration that goes along with the heating elements that just puts him off. If he loves his condo & his blankets, that may be all he needs, plus food & love. Again, thanks for taking him in & thanks for using Boop by Petco.

Usually a behavior change like this is related to stress. Any changes or stressors in the house lately? Guests for the holidays? You traveled and left her while you were out of town? You just moved? New pets? Stray cats hanging out around outside the house? Regardless, I would try to use a product to decrease stress and do some environmental enrichment for her. This is the best product to decrease stress and calm cats - Feliway. https://www.feliway.com/us#redirected https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/comfort-zone-diffuser-with-feliway-for-cats Here is an article on environmental enrichment for cats: http://www.catbehaviorassociates.com/what-is-environmental-enrichment-and-why-does-your-cat-need-it/ Hope this helps. Best wishes.

This behavior can be a self soothing mechanism and isn't too uncommon. Cats often attach themselves to certain fabrics or pillows so the best way to stop the behavior is to not allow Teddy access to the quilt or similar blankets.

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Unfortunately no. I would keep her nails trimmed, cutting them every 2-3 weeks. You can cover your bed with a blanket to protect your good bed cover. And you can apply nail caps. Other options is to keep her off the bed with noise deterrents. Kneading is a natural behavior for cats. https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/soft-claws-clear-cat-nail-caps I wish you the best!

Cats are rarely impressed by travelling and it can cause much anxiety. Calming supplements or royal canin calm food can be very helpful, as can pheromone products. Familiar food, toys and bedding are helpful also
