Thank you for submitting your question regarding Lucky. Start by placing his food down at the morning meal time. Allow him 15 minutes to eat and then take the bowl up. Offer him his evening meal at night. Again, allow him 15 minutes to eat. He will soon learn that if he wants to eat, he will need to do so during these time frames. Do not use human food to entice him to eat or he will prefer it. He needs to eat dog food as it is balanced for his nutritional needs. You can add warm water to the dry kibble or mix canned food in as well. As far as training, start with basic commands and be consistent with him. You can use pieces of kibble as training treats. You may try a training class as well. I hope this information helps!

There are so many differing opinions on this topic. I feel like they don't help or hurt the average large breed dog. They may be needed in dogs that have megaesophagus or neck or back issues. Some large dogs will decide that laying next to the bowl is more comfortable. The only thing I would watch for is Thor eating too quickly. If he gulps his food, you may want to get a bowl with partitions to make him slow down a bit.

Hi there and thank you for using Pet Coach! I would recommend using a dog food bowl stand, which you can find quite easily online. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.

Hello, and thanks for your question on Boop by Petco. It's great that you're being conscientious about this! I recommend ceramic, glass, or stainless steel bowls. They tend to be cleaner, and are safe to throw in a dishwasher cycle now and then. I'd specifically avoid plastic. Hope that helps!

Thank you for using pet coach. With Lucky being such a young dog I would recommend allowing Lucky to eat at his own pace. Not every day is going to eat as soon as the food is put down. I would allow Lucky to graze or eat meals when needed. I would recommend not hand feeding or placing people food into the dog kibble. This will just set bad habits for Lucky. He will start only eating when hand fed. I hope that helps
