Thank you Linda G, MS, DVM for your answer yesterday about the IAMS puppy food for Coco Mocha, who's 8 weeks old. She's a Yellow Lab / Black Lab puppy. I have another question for you why would she eat her poop?
We have 1 1/2yr old Ragdoll female. At a steady 8.6 pounds/small frame. Area in front of back legs seems a little skinny. A couple of internet sites seems to suggest IAMS Proactive Health, Healthy Kittens is ok for adults to gain weight in view of it's extra protein and fat. Is that ok for 8.6 lb female.
My kitten of 6 months ate a portion of iams kitten wet food and I didn't notice till he ate half the food that there were maggots in it. What should I do? What are the symptoms of maggots in a kitten? I won't be available to take him to the vet till Friday and he ate this on Sunday.
14 week old puppy. heeler/wire fox terrier. i have her on Iam's puppy food. her stool stnk so bad. the are green to dark green(almost black) firm one time but soft to almost runny most times. makes it hard for her to hold i to get out side. Thinking I need to get her off iams food. Raised my other dogs on petigree. Anything to offer?
My senior cat (14) stopped eating his regular dry cat food. I did try a couple new different kinds but he just wanted wet food. Now he seems to bore of that quickly so I have switching up brands. Is there a certain brand/flavor you recomend? I went from Friskies to Iams. Now he is eating Fancy Feast. I just don't know what's best to do.
10 week old Vet Checked .Not parvo not worms Exslposive watery diarrhea with blood & mucus when eating dry pup iams then back to chicken n rice still very soft stool with some mucus. Changed to science diet and back to explosive bloody diarrhea every 2 hrs. Hungry all the time , plays. This has been going on for 5 days now. Could it be a partial blockage somewhere?
My 15 week old kitten keeps eating my 9 year old's Rx Hills Science C/D dry food - she prefers it over her kitten kibble. I'm having a hard time keeping her away from the adult cat bowl. She came to me eating Iams kitten kibble & I'm in the process of transitioning her to Hills Science Kitten dry food. Should I be concerned about her eating the Rx food?
We have had our 4 month old jack russell/shih tzu for 2 weeks. He got his first vaccines and wormer last Saturday. (Previous owner gave no vet care.) He is and has been having loose stools (not diarrhea) and poops in his crate nightly even though we don't feed past 6pm and walk him tons. He poops 5-6 times daily. I feed 1/2 cup iams puppy food 8am (he doesn't touch it until lunch) and around 5pm. Is the frequent loose stool normal?
Cat had diarrhea then we have her medicine to stop diarrhea...and it worked but she has not had any type of BM at all yesterday and today. She is eating, we added pumpkin to her food still nothing. She is eating and drinking.....sleeping... doesn't seem in pain or uncomfortable. How long could she be constipated? Should I be worried? We used to put a small amount of Miralax in wet food but stopped when she got diarrhea....should we continue. She eats Iams wet and Science Diet dry.
New kitten, liquid diarrhea. Only been feeding purina kitten dry food and iams healthy kitten chicken pate (3x a day). Been a week since I got her. Stools were regular. Now liquid, every other time. Otherwise formed but very very loose/soft. Had 3 rounds of dewormer prior to adoption. Very active and playful, free access to water and dry food. No lethargy or loss of appetite, no vomiting. Nose wet and cool. Just concerned about the liquid stools. Spayed about 2 weeks ago, incisions healed.
My Pumpkin is throwing up every so often. I have changed her food to Purina dry cat food that's gentle on her stomach but it's not working. We monitor her food all the time. We don't know what to do can't afford to take her to the doctor. I thought about giving her Iams cat food. Also she will not eat any wet canned cat food. Once in a blue moon she will eat tuna but mostly with water mixed in. She is a calico tutti. Please help
My 12-year-old Goldendoodle has been losing weight recently and I have a vet appointment scheduled but I was wondering if you could recommend a new type of food/food topper/supplement that would help him put on some weight? He has always been on the smaller size (never heavier than 70lbs) and I am just worried about him losing weight. We have been putting cheese and chicken on his current food (Iams ProActive Health Adult Chunks) and he seems to like that but I would like to find a better option
