My dog is going through a food trial for allergies. They are thinking it might be a chicken allergy but are not sure yet, and it could be more than one. She is a year old. She is eating signature kangaroo food right now and seeing if that helps.
The key to doing treats while a dog is on an elimination diet is to use treats that have the same ingredients as the food you are trying. Sometimes the easiest way to do this is to use canned food of the variety and flavor that you are using to put in a Kong or bake into treats. Other options would be to use sweet potato chews if the food you are feeding has sweet potatoes in it (which Zignature kangaroo does not) or giving dehydrated chews that are the same meat source that you are feeding (which will be a challenge for a kangaroo food). So, for the food you are feeding right now, the best option may be to use canned Zignature kangaroo to create treats for Lucy. Good luck! I hope that was helpful. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

Hello buddy is a yellow lab and he loves to chew on Rawhide. I can't seem to find the huge rawhides he likes that I buy at Christmas time. Can you recommend any treats that he can chew on for long periods of time? I see that dr. Foster and Smith sell
My favorite rawhide chews are sold through a company called Raw Feeding Miami (www.rawfeedingmiami.com). They have large, very durable rawhide rolls that are all-natural and made without any chemicals or artificial processing. They're quite thick and last a long time, even for big dogs - I would highly recommend giving them a try if you're looking for a good rawhide for Buddy :)

Hi Diana, I have not yet tried the Nylabone Healthy Edibles with my dogs, but I just looked at the ingredients and think they might be a nice treat for Joey. Certainly, I always recommend monitoring a dog with any edible chew because they will sometimes bite off too large of a chunk, but I suspect that will be less of a problem with the Healthy Edibles than some of the other chew options on the market. Hello. If Pluto is doing well on a lamb based diet, then the lamb treats should be perfect for him. They do make hypoallergenic dog treats, but you may need to get them from your veterinarian. If Pluto has a relapse or breakthrough skin rash, immediately stop the lamb treats & you will most likely just need to stick with his kibble. Thanks for contacting Boop by Petco.
