Hello. Petco carries a number of products that might help. Zymox makes a spray & a salve that contains hydrocortisone, that can really help with the itching. On-line, you can find many more products such as shampoos & conditioners that also contain hydrocortisone. Topicals only work for short periods of time. Longer relief can be obtained with immunostimulants such as Apoquel & Cytopoint, both available from your veterinarian. Your pet may also have additional issues such as skin mites, fleas, bacterial & yeast infections in the skin, & your veterinarian can certainly help to sort some of these issues out. What is the difference between CBD oil and hemp oil and which one is more effective?
Hello. CBD does not contain any THC while Hemp oil may contain a very small amount. Both seem to have some medicinal properties when it comes to dealing with pain & stimulating appetite. The biggest problem the veterinary community is having about these product is the lack of supervision over the content & truth about what these products can do. Right now, the best thing to do is consult your veterinarian because there are some well respected supplement providers that are entering this field. They would be the best place to go to obtain a product that will do what you are looking at for your pet. I am at a very large veterinary conference right now & I am amazed at the number of companies that are beginning to offer this class of supplement. Your veterinarian will be your best guide. My dog Dexter is a rescue and although I don’t know much about his medical history, I’ve noticed he might have some trouble with his skin. A vet on this site (thank you Dr. Elizabeth from the U.S.) recommended I start giving him omega 3 fatty acids.

What can I buy for my dog for flea dermatitis
If there is a secondary bacterial infection, I would recommend using product called Duoxo Chlorhexidine + Calm shampoo and bathe twice weekly until resolved. I would also recommend picking up a hydrocortisone spray (Well and Good at Petco) and apply daily to the affected area to relieve inflammation. If it does not resolve or worsens, I would have a veterinarian take a look at Harley so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I hope this helps!
