I'm looking for a high quality supplement to add to my dogs food, have you ever heard of Dr. Jeff's Optimum canine care? If so do you think it would be a good one to use? If not could you please recommend one?

Is hemp oil in a joint supplement good for a dog
I'd say no. There is very limited research about the effectiveness of hemp oil in dogs, and we don't know the side effects of it or interactions with any other medication. If you want a joint supplement for Mugsy, I recommend Dasuquin or Cosequin.

What are your thoughts on CBD treatment for dogs with arthritis and joint issues? I purchased the product is the pics attached for my almost 12 year old dachshund who has arthritis in her front legs, wobbly bsck hips, and back issues.
Just like with human medicine, there is much to be studied when it comes to CBD treatment in dogs, so the answer is actually unknown. The product you have shown is not considered a CBD supplement as it just contains hemp seeds, which do not have the CBD's like marijuana flowers do. I see that this product also has omega 3/6 fatty acids which may be helpful. However, I wouldn't expect this product to be very helpful. It appears safe though, so you can give it and see if you notice any difference. If you finish the bottle and haven't noticed any benefit, then I wouldn't buy anymore. While supplements may be a helpful adjunct, the best products for arthritis are the ones your veterinarian can prescribe. If they Eschele is having a lot of difficulties with arthritis, then it's best to have your vet evaluate her and prescribe the necessary treatment if this hasn't been done already. I hope that helps and she feels better soon.

Dogs on high-quality commercial diets do not need vitamins. Dogs on homecooked diets definitely need to take a vitamin. For the supplements, I'm not familiar with Pet Natural Vermont Calm specifically but the ingredients look ok. It's true that they are not regulated, so we have to go on company reputation. The ones I know and recommend are Zylkene (different supplement) and Composure (same supplement as the Vermont ones). I like and trust the company that makes Thunderspray, so if it's helping then stick with it. The pheromone product that I'm most familiar with and feel does help is called Adaptil. Dasuquin with MSM or Cosequin DS (both by Nutromax Labs) are my personal preferences. Pet Tabs have been around forever and are also a favorite of mine. You can search petco.com for these products or purchase them from your veterinarian.
