CT, MRI, and spinal tap can sometimes diagnose GME, but not all the time. The prognosis is very poor, even with every treatment available. Steroids are used at very high doses to try to decrease the inflammation, but there is no one cure for every patient.

My guess would be possibly meningitis from diskospondylitis or SRMA. I'm not sure what testing, if any, has already been done but I think you are going to need quite a bit of testing done to get this sorted (x-rays, blood testing, etc). What treatments have already been administered? Have steroids been tried? I think SRMA may be the cause. Suggest this to your vet and see what they think. It is hard for me to comment too much as I have not examined the dog myself and I do not know what testing has been done (or the results) or what treatments have been tried. Here is a link to an article about SRMA: http://www.fitzpatrickreferrals.co.uk/neurology/steroid-responsive-meningitis-arteritis-srma/ Hope this helps. If you have more question feel free to post again.

Ganga is showing typical signs of a sick bird. These are no specific signs so it’s hard to narrow down what may be wrong without an exam. I would recommend taking her to an avian vet for exam and possible diagnostics. If you don’t have a vet this site may help. Www.aav.org. Here’s some info on nursing care. https://vcahospitals.com/know-your-pet/sick-pet-birds-nursing-care Thank you for using Boop by Petco

A ringneck chick can be syringe fed a gruel if necessary. Care must be taken to not allow aspiration of the gruel into the respiratory system. If he/she is not eating, an exam with an experienced avian veterinarian would be recommended to diagnose illness or injury.
