Is it necessary to brush my cats' teeth? Or is it enough to give them dry food and Greenies dental treats?
Hi! I have an 8 month old kitten and ive recently noticed that her breath stinks a bit and I want to take care of her dental health. So I recently tried the greenies treats to help to prevent any possible future plague or tartar build up. I tried to brush her teeth but that failed. Artemis didn't even want to try the chicken flavored toothpaste. Are greenies effective for dental health? what Would you recommend to maintain her dental health? Are water additives effective for dental heath?
I bought my 4 month old puppy greenies not realizing I wasn’t supposed to give them to him until he was 6 months old so I never gave him any. Today he got the whole bag when I wasn’t home is he going to be ok?
I am trying to worm my cat (2 Drontal pills). I have tried to pill him (I can pill my other cat no problem), but he can fit the pill out the side of his mouth between his teeth, & those pills dissolve pretty quickly, so trying over & over dissolves the pills without getting in his system. I’ve tried crushing & mixing with wet cat food; he refuses to eat it. I’ve tried pill treats like Greenies, even with a few decoy Greenies first. He eats the treat & leaves the pill behind. Please, any tips?
Is it ok to give my 35lb dachshund-pitbull mix the petite greenies? Says intended for 5-15lb dogs. I got them as a gift when he was a puppy but obviously couldn’t give it to him then and he has not outgrown them!
Hi, Thatcher has been having diarrhea for the past 2-3 days. We stopped feeding her treats (her greenies and jerked) to see if that would help, but it hasn't. Her diarrhea has gotten worse, and it is now coupled with clear looking slime as well as regular diarrhea. She is a puppy still, and I know that these things happen, but since it's been over the span of several days I just wanted to see if maybe there was something that needed treatment.
Lilly is 5 & a half year old, used to eats grain free greenies daily for over a year maybe.Stopped couple of weeks ago.Now getting petsmile sometimes,no brushing though, give it to her as a treat. She always had beautiful teeth until after her second annual cleaning, her teeth don't look great since them.Nothing new, same vet, same routine.Next cleaning in February.Should I use silicone finger toothbrush, cloth, bristled silicone finger toothbrush, long handled toothbrush? Without brushing is enough? Tk
So my cat has been scratching her face to the point of bleeding and she has a cone on. It's been on about 2 weeks. After the 4th vet visit the vet gave me Amitriptyline to give my cat. The problem is she wont take it. I've tried tuna, 2 flavors of the Greenies pill pockets, and 2 flavors of wet cat food. She wont eat it. She got the first pill in a little bread but I haven't been able to give her another pill in 3 days! She wouldnt eat the bread again. What should I do?
My dog (Havapoo) who is now 3yrs old has suddenly stopped wanting to eat dry food. I changed her food to another dry and she wont eat it. I got some wet food and mixed it in there and now she will eat it but it seems she tries to lick all the wet food out of bowl and off dry and leave the dry. Also treats that she always went crazy for, she no longer cares for except greenies. Not sure if I should be worried or not as she is not really doing anything else out of the ordinary.
We have a pair of male parakeets now 10 days. They seem to adjust just fine, but yesterday we noticed the older one doesn't let younger one eat seeds how much he'd want to. Today I found out half of the poops (from the younger parrot) are green! Not really watery, they look more like porridge-consistency but definitely far from the normal. The younger parrot did try a little bit of green paprika yesterday, but the amount he ate was minimal. What else could be the reason of this discharge??
Why green parrots nose colours changing? It's like so dim color
We're wondering if there's anything we can do to improve her diet. Right now she is eating pellets (Zupreem, converting to Zupreem naturals), seeds, and we offer veggies every day despite her never really finishing them. We're now grinding up a Tums onto the food every day, as she was egg bound recently. We get 30-60 mins of time outside a day when possible, for sunlight. Any suggestions, or does this look fine? Thanks.
