Good question. You are doing a good job keeping her calm. Often closing them in a dark room or crate with the music on will help too. Yes, the calming supplements do help and also the thunder shirt. I use Solliquin in my practice but they do sell several kinds at PetCo. They may not fully resolve the anxiety but they will reduce it without drugs. Hi there and thanks for using Boop by Petco! For anxiety, there is a product over the counter that you can use, which can be found online or at your local PetCo, called NaturVet Quiet Moments Calm Chews with Melatonin. I would start this supplement and see if it helps relieve the anxiety. You can also try the Adaptil collar and thundershirt to see if this also aids in relieving the anxiety. If the anxiety worsens or does not improve, I would schedule an appointment with your veterinarian to discuss anti-anxiety medications. I hope this helps! Hi there and thanks for your post on Boop by Petco! I would recommend calming supplements for your pets that have L-theanine in them which can have a calming effect. I would recommend a product called Composure from VetriScience which comes in a liquid and chewable form. A pheromone collar, such as the Adaptil collar, may help decrease anxiety. Gradual desensitization is also strongly recommended. Calming chews, such as Composure chews (by VetriScience) may help but they are not "magic pills". You will need to modify her behavior. This may require the assistance of a certified trainer.

Hello, thank you for using Boop by Petco. There are a number of homeopathic products available without a script that help to calm a pet. Several that I have used include Composure, Solliquin, & Zylkene. Some are available at Petco, some online. If this does not help, stronger medications are available from your veterinarian. Make sure Samantha has plenty of busy toys, including ones that dispense a treat or piece of kibble as it moves. Make sure she is comfortable & has no joint pain, as this may manifest as anxiety. Products containing glucsamine hydrochloride & chondroitin sulfate are the best, but she may neeed something stronger, again through your vet. Hope she is doing better soon. Take care.
