Thanks for using Boop by Petco! It could absolutely be the food. Food gives the body nutrients and fuel to function and can certainly make a dog feel better when it is the right one. Glad that that is working for you. Have a good night!

Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your concern. Regardless of the quality of the food, sometimes the best food is not always the best choice for the cat and may not agree with the cat's digestive tract. Regardless of the quality, I would still recommend switching to not a 'better' food but a 'different' food such as Science Diet or Royal Canin and see if a new food or different formula makes a difference. I would also consider adding in a probiotic such as Purina Fortiflora, which can be found online or at your local Petco. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.

SHe is likely gassy because of indigestion from the food or she could also have intestinal parasites. I would recommend changing the quality of food if that is an area for improvement. Some good qualty foods to consider are Royal Canin, Hill's Science Diet, Eukanuba or Purina. This can help improve Junie's digestion. I would also recommend exercising Junie daily to help her GI tract motility. And lastly giving her a probiotic daily can help support her GI flora. Excessive bad bacteria and not enough good bacteria leads to excess gas production. I hope that your puppy Junie resolves her gassy state soon. Best wishes and take care.

You are welcome! I think it would be a great idea to try some chicken and rice for a few days to see if that helps with the gas. Give him boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice for a few days, then slowly add back in his normal diet. Exercise would be good as well. Hope this helps :-)

Excessive flatulence can have several causes. If Cujo eats fast, he may be swallowing a lot of air which has to come out eventually from either end. Divide his meals into smaller, more frequent portions or use a "slow feed" bowl to regulate his eating. You can also raise the bowls to prevent or limit air swallowing. Parasites can also be the cause. You can submit a stool sample to your vet to diagnose intestinal parasites. Diet plays a large role as well. Feed a premium diet, preferably grain free. These diets are more easily digested and the lack of grains decreases possible fermentation in the gut. You can also consider a probiotic such as ProViable or ProStora to promote gut health.
