If after using these there is no improvement, I would recommend having a veterinarian examine her in case oral antibiotics / antifungals are needed. I hope these help! I was at petco with my dog and after her spa day,they said she is getting over a infection or getting one,they also said to go to a vet for special drops,could I possibly dodge going to the vet?
Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your concern. Based on your description, I am unsure as to where the infection is located. If it is in the ears and they are becoming infected, I would recommend having a veterinarian take a look at the ears so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. If the ears just have a moderate amount of wax in them, you can use an over the counter veterinary product called Zymox otic cleanser. If after using this product for 7 days there is no improvement, I would recommend bringing Pearl to a veterinarian for further treatment. I hope this helps! Unfortunately, there are no veterinary clinics located in Petco stores in your area - yet. You can get vaccinations done at Vetco vaccination clinics, as well as heartworm and flea and tick prevention. Be sure you get Tars in before he is 6 months of age, and he won't need a heartworm test. He should also be dewormed against intestinal parasites. Hi there. My dog has what I think is a hot spot. Is this what it is. If so what are the treatment options. Are hot spot products sold at the pet store safe to use?
Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco! Based on the picture, it does appear that this could be a hot spot. I typically recommend using products that soothe and treat infection. What I would recommend would be Well & Good Hydrocortisone spray (at Petco) and Miconahex + Triz spray and apply both of these twice daily until resolved. If there is no improvement within 7 days, I would recommend taking your dog in to be seen by a veterinarian so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made.
