Dexter (cat, 5 yrs, male). Took Dexter to the vets on Friday as he showed signs of UTI (he's had it before), he was given antibiotics and anti-inflammatory shots. He stayed overnight and had catheter. He came home with us Saturday afternoon as he was stressed in the vets. We've been given Meloxicam for him as well as Hypovase and Noroclav. He has had bad diarrhoea for two days now and is crying. Melxicam says to stop if he gets diarrhoea, should I? Worried he is in pain is all.

Can you give me some info on dexocycling 50mg for cats? I have a 11 mth that started last month with a 103 temp, 3rd eyelids exposed, had covenia shot, and week later steroid shot, nothing helped. The vet (he deals with birds as well as other animals) I took my cockatiel to, for her eye problem, suggested the use of Ciprofloxacin dexamethasone eye drops for her. Her right eye has been watery. But not red or swollen. A few feathers lost/possibly wet around the eye. Is dexamethasone a right choice ? He has also suggested cefpodoxime orally for her mild voice problem, seems to be mild cold.

Dex and Benadryl were administered before Dhpp and bordetella, reasons I do not know why. My question is, will the Dexamethasone inhibit an immune response for the Dhpp and bordetella?

After taking Hoonie to the vet because of his limping, the vet gave him some dexamethasone to take for seven days 2 times a day after meals and doxycycline for 10 days two times a day after meals.
