Cestex is a perfectly good tapeworm treatment. At the appropriately labeled doses, most pet deworms are very safe. If you haven't already, I would consult with a veterinarian on starting the health certificate process. It can take several months to complete any necessary testing and getting the paperwork all lined up for international travel. And you will likely need a veterinarian's record of a medication prescribed for Henry for treatment of tapeworms.

You can re-dose him. It is a very safe medication. But, if you didn't see any trace of the pill in the vomit I would suspect he kept it down. It would have been better to give it a few days after his anethesia. The anesthesia along with the medicine probably upset his stomach. For future reference, any time you give an oral pill to a cat it is best to "chase" the pill with a small amount of water to ensure swallowing. Hope this helps!

Cephalexin and Simplicef are both cephalosporins, so they are the same group of antibiotics, but cephalexin is the generic name for a 1st generation cephalosporin and Simplicef is a trade name for Cefpodoxime which is a 3rd generation cephalosporin (so it is a newer drug) and works better in some circumstances. Here is more information on both drugs. https://www.veterinarypartner.com/Content.plx?P=A&S=0&C=0&A=538 https://www.veterinarypartner.com/Content.plx?P=A&S=0&C=0&A=2038 I hope that was helpful! Ouch, poor Dude! Cephalexin may help to treat any infection/abscess that has formed around the remaining quill, but the only way to really resolve the issue is to have the quill removed. (As a side note, only give the cephalexin if it has been prescribed or discussed with Dude's vet.) Your best bet is to take Dude to the vet because he will likely need sedation to have the quill removed and have the lesion flushed with saline. I hope that he feels better soon!

So your vet gave you an allergy medication and an antibiotic. Cefpodoxime is used to treat respiratory infections in dogs. I am wondering if a prescription eye medication would be good for Coco's eyes, and I would take her back into the vet to discuss using that. I hope this helps.
