You can try an attractant spray on the pads indoors. When it is time to go, spray it on the pad and lead him to it and wait. Once he urinates on the pad, offer profuse praise and a small reward. Be consistent and eventually, he will use the pads indoors when needed. To keep him going outside, offer praise and a small reward each time he urinates or defecates in the designated area outdoors.

Hi there! Thanks for using Boop by Petco! There is a spray that you can get at the pet store that you basically spray on the pad and it helps the puppy understand that that is the right place to go potty. It is called puppy potty training pad spray. This usually works pretty well. Another thing that is important when it comes to training a puppy is positive reinforcement. This means that anytime Ace does something well such as going in the pad, congratulate him and give him treats as an incentive. I think this will work for you! Good luck!

Hi there and thank you for using pet coach to address your concern. If the puppy pads do not work, I would recommend a product called Fresh Patch, which you can order online. I have found that potty training is much more successful with this product. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.

Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your concern. This is likely behavioral and will correct over time. One product that I recommend for people is something called Fresh Patch, which is a patch of grass delivered to your house every month. I've had great success getting puppies to use the patch of grass and find that they become potty trained rather quickly. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.

It will not likely deter him from eating them. The seem to not the lick the taste for the first lick, then it wears off and they go right back to chewing it. It does have potential to make him avoid it also. I would try to tape the edges of the pad down so he cannot move them. Once he quits that behavior and the habit is broken, you won't have to worry about it. Also make sure he has a rotation of toys so he does not get bored with the same ones
